{"id":103490,"date":"2018-09-09T22:12:26","date_gmt":"2018-09-10T02:12:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=103490"},"modified":"2018-09-09T22:13:31","modified_gmt":"2018-09-10T02:13:31","slug":"its-official-u-s-military-will-bomb-syria-again-after-staging-yet-another-false-flag-chemical-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=103490","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s Official: U.S. Military will bomb Syria again after staging yet another false flag chemical attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/themillenniumreport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Assad-Idlib-threat_0.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67987\" src=\"http:\/\/themillenniumreport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Assad-Idlib-threat_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"590\" height=\"308\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>US Says Assad Has Approved Gas Attack In Idlib, Setting Stage For Major Military Conflict<\/h2>\n<p>ZeroHedge.com<\/p>\n<p>At this point there&#8217;s not even so much as feigning surprise or suspense in the now sadly all-too-familiar Syria script out of Washington.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Wall Street Journal\u00a0<\/em>has just published a bombshell on Sunday evening as Russian and Syrian warplanes continue bombing raids\u00a0over al-Qaeda held Idlib, citing\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/u-s-says-syria-plans-gas-attack-in-rebel-stronghold-1536535853?mod=hp_lead_pos2\">unnamed US officials who claim<\/a>\u00a0<em>&#8220;<\/em><b><em>President Bashar al-Assad of Syria has approved the use of chlorine gas in an offensive against the country\u2019s last major rebel stronghold.&#8221;<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n<p>And perhaps more alarming is that the report details that\u00a0<strong>Trump is\u00a0undecided over whether new retaliatory strikes\u00a0<em>could entail expanding the attack to hit\u00a0Assad allies Russia and Iran<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<em><strong>this time around<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s right, unnamed US officials are now claiming to be in possession of intelligence which they say shows\u00a0<em>Assad has already given the order\u00a0<\/em>in an absolutely\u00a0<strong>unprecedented level of &#8220;pre-crime&#8221; telegraphing of events on the battlefield<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>And supposedly these officials have\u00a0<strong>even identified the type of chemical weapon to be used:\u00a0<em>chlorine gas<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The anonymous officials told the WSJ of\u00a0<strong>&#8220;new U.S. intelligence&#8221; in what appears an eerily familiar repeat of precisely\u00a0how the 2003 invasion of Iraq was sold to the American public\u00a0<\/strong>(namely, &#8220;anonymous officials&#8221; and vague assurances of unseen intelligence)\u00a0<em>\u2014<\/em>\u00a0<em>albeit posturing over Idlib is now unfolding at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/u-s-says-syria-plans-gas-attack-in-rebel-stronghold-1536535853?mod=hp_lead_pos2\">an intensely more rapid pace<\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Fears of a massacre have been fueled by\u00a0<strong>new U.S. intelligence indicating Mr. Assad has cleared the way for the military to use chlorine gas in any offensive, U.S. officials said<\/strong>. It wasn\u2019t clear from the latest intelligence if Mr. Assad also had given\u00a0<strong>the military permission to use sarin gas<\/strong>, the deadly nerve agent used several times in previous regime attacks on rebel-held areas. It is banned under international law.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It appears Washington is now saying\u00a0<i><strong>an American attack on Syrian government forces and locations is all but inevitable<\/strong><\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>And according to the report, President Trump may actually give the order to attack even if there&#8217;s no claim of a chemical attack, per the WSJ:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In a recent discussion about Syria, people familiar with the exchange said,\u00a0<strong>President Trump threatened to conduct a massive attack against Mr. Assad if he carries out a massacre in Idlib<\/strong>, the northwestern province that has become the last refuge for more than three million people and as many as 70,000 opposition fighters that the regime considers to be terrorists.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/u-s-says-syria-plans-gas-attack-in-rebel-stronghold-1536535853?mod=hp_lead_pos2\">further<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/pentagon-white-house-confer-on-military-options-in-syria-1536379734?mod=article_inline\">The Pentagon is crafting military options<\/a>, but\u00a0<strong>Mr. Trump hasn\u2019t decided what exactly would trigger a military response or whether the U.S. would target Russian or Iranian military forces aiding Mr. Assad in Syria<\/strong>, U.S. officials said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Crucially, this is the first such indication of the possibility that White House and defense officials are mulling over hitting &#8220;Russian or Iranian military forces&#8221; in what would be\u00a0<strong>a monumental escalation that would take the world to the brink of World War 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&quot;Lots of evidence&quot;<br \/>Trump regime not even trying, they&#39;re just phoning this disinformation campaign in <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YD9MtXK97c\">pic.twitter.com\/YD9MtXK97c<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Mark Ames (@MarkAmesExiled) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkAmesExiled\/status\/1038075250993520640?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 7, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The WSJ report cites White House discussions of a third strike\u00a0<em>\u2014\u00a0<\/em>in reference to US attacks on Syria during the last two Aprils after chemical allegations were made against Damascus\u00a0<em>\u2014\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0while indicating\u00a0<strong>it would &#8220;likely would be more expansive than the first two&#8221; and could include targeting Russia and Iran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The incredibly alarming report\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/u-s-says-syria-plans-gas-attack-in-rebel-stronghold-1536535853?mod=hp_lead_pos2\">continues<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>During the debate this year over how to respond to the second attack, Mr. Trump\u2019s national-security team\u00a0<strong>weighed the idea of hitting Russian or Iranian targets in Syria<\/strong>, people familiar with the discussions said. But the Pentagon pushed for a more measured response, U.S. officials said, and the idea was eventually rejected as too risky.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A third U.S. strike likely would be more expansive than the first two, and Mr. Trump would again have to consider whether or not to hit targets like Russian air defenses<\/strong>\u00a0in an effort to deliver a more punishing blow to Mr. Assad\u2019s military.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Last week the French ambassador, whose country also vowed to strike Syria if what it deems credible chemical allegations emerge,\u00a0said\u00a0during a U.N.
