{"id":100143,"date":"2018-06-18T06:37:42","date_gmt":"2018-06-18T10:37:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=100143"},"modified":"2018-06-18T06:39:38","modified_gmt":"2018-06-18T10:39:38","slug":"house-intel-chair-absolutely-willing-to-move-to-impeachment-of-the-leadership-of-doj-and-fbi-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=100143","title":{"rendered":"House Intel Chair: &#8220;Absolutely willing&#8221; to move to &#8216;impeachment of the leadership of DOJ and FBI &#8216; (Video)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Devin Nunes Vows &#8216;Hell to Pay,&#8217; Impeachment Over DOJ Subpoena<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->By Eric Mack<br \/>\nNEWSMAX<\/p>\n<div id=\"imageMid\" class=\"artImageContainer\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/video.foxnews.com\/v\/video-embed.html?video_id=5798520622001&amp;loc=newsmax.com&amp;ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.newsmax.com%2Fpolitics%2Fdevin-nunes-doj-documents-provided%2F2018%2F06%2F17%2Fid%2F866647%2F&amp;_xcf=\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"artCaptionContainer\">\n<h5>(Fox News&#8217; &#8220;Sunday Morning Futures&#8221;)<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>The ongoing battle for Justice Department documents led by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., is coming to a head this week and Nunes vowed &#8220;hell to pay&#8221; if results are not produced as soon as Monday, up to and including impeachment of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The deadline is this week, so if documents do not begin to be turned over [Monday] and a clear way and path forward for everything else is not clear here in the next couple days, there&#8217;s going to be hell to pay by Wednesday morning,&#8221; Nunes told Fox News&#8217; &#8220;Sunday Morning Futures&#8221; with Maria Bartiromo &#8220;It&#8217;s not just about the committee chairman any longer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is about rank and file members of Congress who continue to come up to me and say, &#8216;What on earth are you guys doing?&#8217; I have many members of the Intelligence Committee that are Republicans that are trying to get to the bottom of these issues, they&#8217;re relying on me to get the documents, so that they can complete the investigation that we began.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The recourse, Nunes told Bartiromo, is getting the House of Representatives involved &#8220;to take action against the Department of Justice and FBI&#8221; \u2013 and &#8220;it&#8217;s not going to be pretty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can&#8217;t force the resignation [of Rosenstein], right, but we can hold in contempt, we can pass sense of Congress resolutions, we can impeach \u2013 look, I think we&#8217;re getting close to there,&#8221; Nunes said Sunday. &#8220;If they don&#8217;t have good reasons why they haven&#8217;t provided us this information, the American people&#8217;s patience have run out. My patience has run out. You had the Speaker of the House [Paul Ryan, R-Wis.] and [House Oversight Committee] Chairman [Trey] Gowdy gave them every opportunity to try to clear all of this up.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s just no time left anymore.
