Rudy Promises More War!

Nothing has changed with the GOP because of Trump! In fact, if what former
NYC Mayor Giuliani had to say last night is a preview of The Donald’s presidency,
things are gonna get a lot worse.

More war is on the way! Instead of Bush lite with Obama we are going to have
Bush heavy…………….especially against both branches of Islam.

For most listeners, Giuliani’s speech conflated the two opposing Muslim sects, the
Sunni and Shia, when he labeled Iran the world’s leading source of terrorism
shortly after promising to go after “radical Islamic fundamentalism” that is
supposed to be responsible for recent events in Europe, the US and elsewhere.

All the fantasies of those who thought there might be some hope that Trump
was different after he criticized W and Hillary for taking us to war in Iraq, Syria
and Libya plus bringing up 9/11, vanished quickly for me after Rudy’s 16 minute
tirade. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luzajJDsGOY

It was warmed over Neocon bromides and propaganda. The only thing missing
was labeling Russia and China our enemies. https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=43505

If you are a card-carrying member of the military-industrial-intelligence complex,
your employment prospects remain quite strong, at least for the next four years.

Absent from his discussion and analysis of the problem was any mention of
our complicity in funding ISIS, of illegally invading other nations to implement
regime change in violation of international law or the immense cost of these
failed foreign adventures undertaken by both Republican and Democratic
Administrations.

No: it was designed to work up the crowd into a frenzy of enthusiasm for
more killing, more wars and less attention to the serious problems at home.

For those of us disgusted by the prospect of unending wars, it looks like
we are faced in 2016 with a choice of the “greater of two evils!”

Perhaps some day, long after I am gone, my descendants will be able to
choose between two candidates embodying the “greater of two goods!”
