Clinton’s Private Emails Contained Information Classified as “Top Secret”

Despite Hilary Clinton’s continuous claims that none of the emails she sent from her private email account contained valuable information, new reports suggest otherwise, making Clinton out to be a liar once more during her campaign.

On Tuesday, Fox News reported that two emails sent from Clinton’s private email account were categorized as “top secret” at the time she received them. This classification came from the intelligence community after the State Department requested to downgrade the classifications.

After months of denying the emails contained top secret information, a State Department spokesperson, John Kirby, commented on the recent report, “Very often both the State Department and the intelligence community acquire information on the same matter through separate channels. Thus, there can be two or more separate reports and not all of them based on classified means.”

However, in order to claim this parallel reporting, the State Department must identify the second source of information in question to prove it wasn’t sourced from “top secret” documents, something they have failed to do.

Although one of the two emails has since been downgraded from “top secret” to “secret”, this does not mean that at the time the email was exchanged, the information was not top secret. All this downgrade in classification shows is that more information on the subject discussed in this one email is NOW publicly available.

In March, a former member of the intelligence community discussed how Clinton’s emails were without a doubt easily read by a number of foreign countries because she chose to use a private account. This member of the intelligence community said it would have been incredibly simple for countries like Russia, China and Iran to gain access to this private account.

Now that we put these two pieces together, that top secret information was exchanged through her private account, and foreign countries most likely had access, we have to wonder why Clinton is not facing more public backlash for her decision. It looks like in this case, the media has again decided to ignore the wrongdoings of any Democratic presidential hopeful.
